Frequently Asked Questions

General

How long does it take to produce a banner?

Complexity, quantity and size determine how long a banner order takes to complete. Generally speaking, a banner will take 3-4 working days to reach you from the time that either we receive artwork or the design has been approved by you via email.

How do I supply artwork to you?

Artwork is required in the following formats: Illustrator, Quark, Photoshop TIFF, EPS or more preferably high-resolution PDF. Where possible, vector artwork is preferred over raster imagery. If the file is too large to email, please send the file to us with our YouSendIt service. Alternatively, we can give you our FTP details and you can upload your file to us.

Artwork must be supplied at 300dpi. If you are sending multiple banners, please use the banner size and quantity as the filename.

It is important that all fonts are embedded or converted to outlines. Please check this carefully, as it may result in your banner not being printed correctly. Please also note that we are unable to accept any Microsoft files as printable artwork including: Word, Publisher, Excel & Powerpoint If you have any questions please contact us.

If you are unable to produce artwork in the correct format yourself, we can design the banner artwork for you. There will of course be a small additional charge for this service.

Are the banners suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, all of our banners are made from heavy duty PVC material and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. We use solvent inks so they are very durable.

How are the banners delivered?

We use national couriers to deliver our banners. They are packaged very well and should reach you in perfect condition. You are also able to have your banners delivered on a Saturday or at a specific time (pre 10:30am) for an additional charge, although this is not available to all parts of the country.

Can you fit my banner?

Unfortunately, we don’t offer a fitting service. We can however, supply bungee ties, bungee rope, nylon rope or cable ties to make installation easier for you. As long as you have enough people to move and hold the banner, they are usually quite simple to install.

Can I use a photo quality picture on my banner?

Yes. We print to 720dpi (dots per inch) (addressable) so the print quality is excellent.

Can you print to both sides of the banner?

Yes, we print onto a very thick 720gsm material with a blockout lining, please ask for further information regarding this.

Another very cost effective way to achieve a double-sided banner is to print two banners and sew them back-to-back. Please ask for more details.

Ordering

Placing an Order

Once you have requested a quote from us, and you have received the quote from us, it is simply a matter of sending us the artwork (or using our design service) and payment.

Proof & Confirmation

If we are producing the artwork for you, the next stage is for us to provide you with a proof of the design. This allows you to see exactly what you have ordered and check the colours, layout and text.

We will also provide confirmation of the job details such as quantity, sizes, cost and delivery timescale.

Production

We aim to dispatch all orders within 3 days. Due to seasonal variations we can sometimes be inundated with banners. If your order is urgent please check with us for our current delivery times.

Delivery

Our delivery charges are £13.95 (3-5 day) per consignment. All goods are sent with a national courier.

The couriers will deliver up until 6:00pm. We are able to deliver on Saturdays and specific times at extra cost. Please note: These prices are only for delivery to Mainland UK. For delivery prices to outside of Mainland UK we are happy to provide individual prices.

Returns Policy

As our products are made bespoke, we are unable to offer refunds. In the event of a banner being printed incorrectly by us, we will collect the banner and replace it for you. Although we send all our banners with a national courier, we cannot be held liable for late deliveries by the couriers.

Artwork

What size should the artwork be?

Artwork files can be supplied at 20% of the final size for banners which contain bitmap images (photo imagery) or at 10% for banners which are entirely vector.

Using Our Design Service

Please send us a brief (this can be in the format of a word file or similar) together with any necessary logos or pictures. These need to be hi-resolution and NOT taken from a website. These also need to be sent separately, and not included within your brief file. If you have any questions please contact us.

We will then put your artwork together and send you a proof for your approval prior to printing. Please allow us up to 2 days to design your banner.
